01 Pakistan is one of the five major Cotton-growing countries of the world. On the other hand, Bangladesh doesn’t grow any Cotton. Please analyze why Bangladesh has done significantly better in export of Readymade Garments as compared to Pakistan. Is it because of Government Policies, Market Access, Labor Force-mix, Work Ethics, Quality Reliability and Timely Delivery, to name a few major factors?
02 It is said that Pakistan is sitting on a geological gold mine of Rare Earth Elements (REEs), worth, after mining and processing, are turned into Rare Earth Metals (REMs). Their worth runs into billions of dollars for exports, as their demand in developed countries like USA, China, Japan & EU is tremendous. What steps do you visualize the Government should take to tap this resource? Could this be made part of the objectives of the CPEC, as China is presently the undisputed leader in the export of REEs and the REMs.
03 Identify and explain the key reasons why a large number of children aged 5-9 years (about 10.77 million) in Pakistan are out of school. Please analyze its social and economic impact on the country. Also discuss the major causes of this situation, and suggest the measures, which the Government should take to overcome it.
