Q.No.1 Translate one of the following passages into Persian. (20)
(a) Sana i Ghaznavi is one of the pillars of Persian mystical poetry. He was a resident of Ghazna and served for a time as poet at the court of the Ghaznavid Sultans, composing panegyrics in praise of his patrons. At some point he underwent a spiritual conversion, abandoning the court, went to Merv. He returned to Ghazna years later but lived in retirement, resisting the blandishments of his Ghaznavid patron Bahram Shah. Sana i’s best known work is the *Hadiqat al-haqiqah wa shari at at-tariqah*. This great work expresses the poet’s ideas on God, love, philosophy, and reason. It is composed of 10,000 couplets in 10 separate sections.

صفوی دور جب اپنے عروج پر تھا تو فرغانہ اور کابل میں ظہیر الدین بابر کی حکومت قائم تھی۔ بابر کا سلسلہ نسب باپ کی طرف سے تیمور اور ماں کی طرف سے چنگیز خان سے ملتا تھا۔ بابر ایک عظیم فاتح ہونے کے ساتھ ساتھ موسیقی، فن اور شعر و ادب کا شیدائی تھا۔ اس نے ترکی زبان میں اپنی سرگذشت لکھی جو “تزک بابری” کے نام سے موسوم ہے۔ اس کا ترجمہ “بابر نامہ” کے عنوان سے عبدالرحیم خان خاناں نے کیا۔ بابر کے بعد ہمایوں تخت نشین ہوا۔ اُس نے شیر شاہ سُوری کے ہاتھوں شکست کھائی اور ایران میں پناہ لی۔ وہ بالاخر تاج دار شاہ تہماسپ کی مدد سے کھویہ ہوئی سلطنت حاصل کرنے میں کامیاب ہو گیا۔
