Q.1 Translate any one of the following passages into Persian. (20)
(a) We are now citizens of a free nation; but we regret to say that we have not developed the characteristics of a free nation. We the youth of Pakistan, should work hard and do our duty with utmost honesty. We should do such good work that our countrymen would have nothing but admiration for us. We should spend our all for our country when the occasion demands. We must ready to make sacrifice and defeat the evil designs of the enemy. We must prove to the World that we are a responsible living nation.
(b) اوستائی زبان مشرق ایران کی ایک زبان تھی لیکن اس کا مکمل طور پر پتا نہیں لگایا جا سکتا کہ یہ کس مخصوص علاقے کی زبان تھی۔ اس زبان میں تحریر کردہ سرمایہ درج ذیل مذہبی کتاب “اوستا” ہے۔ اوستا کے ایک حصے “گاہان” کی زبان اسکے باقی حصوں سے قدرے مختلف ہے۔ گاہان میں بیان شدہ باتیں پارسی مذہب کے بانی زرتشت کی اپنی ہیں۔ جبکہ اوستا کے باقی حصے مختلف ادوار میں لکھے گئے جن کی تاریخ چھٹی صدی قبل مسیح سے تیسری صدی عیسوی کے درمیان ہے۔ اوستائی زبان کا پہلوی اور فارسی سے قریبی رشتہ ہے۔
