SUBJECT: LAW (PAPER-I)
TIME ALLOWED: THREE HOURS
MAXIMUM MARKS: 100
NOTE:

1. All the parts (if any) of each Question must be attempted at one place instead of at different places.
2. Write Q. No. in the Answer Book in accordance with Q No. in the Q. Paper.
3. No Page/Space be left blank between the answers. All the blank pages of Answer Book must be crossed.
4. Extra attempt of any question or any part of the question will not be considered.

NOTE: Attempt SEVEN Questions in All. TWO from Part-I, ONE Each from Part-II & III and THREE from Part-IV including Question No. 12 which is Compulsory.

PART-I (The Code of Civil Procedure 1908)

Q. No. 1: Explain the legal representative and what is procedure for the enforcement of the decree against the legal representative?

Q. No. 2: Explain cases in which the court may issue a commission to examine the witness. Discuss in detail the procedure to be followed.

Q. No. 3: What are the inherent powers of the civil courts? When and how can these powers be invoked?

Q. No. 4: Discuss in detail reference, review & revision.

PART-II (The Limitation Act, 1908)

Q. No. 5: Discuss in detail the acquisition of ownership by possession with reference to the Limitation Act, 1908.

Q. No. 6: Describe in detail the law relating to condoning the period of limitation.

PART-III (The Registration Act, 1908)

Q. No. 7: Discuss in detail the documents for which registration is compulsory and optional. Also, discuss the time period for their presentation for registration.

Q. No. 8: Write a detailed note on the duties and powers of a Registering Officer.

PART-IV (The Qanoon e Shahadat Order, 1984)

Q. No. 9: Explain various modes of examinations as provided in the QSO with particular emphasis on the rules governing the cross-examination of witnesses.

Q. No. 10: Discuss various kinds of confession, i.e., judicial, extra-judicial, and retracted, with reference to rules governing their admissibility and evidential value.

Q. No. 11: What is the effect of improper admission and rejection of evidence? Whether a decision of the case on the basis of an oath is binding upon the parties?

Q. No. 12: How the contents of documents can be proved? In which cases, the secondary evidence relating to a document may be given.
