Q-1. What do you know about “GREEN REVOLUTION” in Agriculture? What was the Impact of Green Revolution in Balochistan, if any?
Q-2. Delay Action Dams are considered necessary to recharge the ground water in Balochistan where water table is declining at an alarming rate; especially in the uplands of Balochistan where main source of irrigation for agriculture is Tube Wells. Please comment whether the desired objectives can be achieved without rehabilitating the catchments area.
Q-3. Define any Five of the following giving specific examples where necessary:
(i) Agronomy
(ii) Cropping Pattern
(iii) Mould Board Plow
(iv) Pome Fruit
(v) Soil pH

Q-4. Balochistan is considered as a future fruit basket of the country. Please comment about the truthfulness of the statement taking into consideration the serious drought spell from 1997-2002 and the present ground water situation in three over drawn basins especially Pishin-Lora, Nari River and Zhob River.
Q-5. Describe briefly the most important climatic factors limiting the growing of fruit plants deciduous as well as ever green in Balochistan. Also name any five deciduous and evergreen fruits grown in the Province specifying the areas where these fruit are grown.
Q-6. Why chemical fertilizers are applied to crops? What are the commonly used fertilizers in Balochistan? Name any two field and fruit crops whose fertilizer requirements are higher and any one field and fruit crop whose requirements are relatively low than others.
Q-7. The post harvest losses in fruits and vegetables grown in Balochistan are estimated to be 40 to 50%. Do you agree with the statement? How these losses can be minimized?
Q-8. Balochistan is considered by many experts the range land Province. Please comment if this statement is correct. Why the range lands of Balochistan cannot be brought under fruits, vegetables and crops? Elaborate briefly on the limiting factors restricting the cultivation of crops on range lands.
