  1. The conflict between the advanced industrial nations and the nations of the Third World has taken on the proportions of a global class war. Discuss it in the light of the debates of Seventh Special Session of the U.N General Assembly. An attempt may also be made to sum up the philosophy of the Third Worlds.

  2. Of the Helsinki Summit Conference results, a Party Chief thus declared, “There are neither victor nor vanquished, winners nor losers —- It is a gain, It is a gain for all who cherish peace and security on our planet. Throw light on the purpose of the big show in Helsinki.

  3. Write a detailed up-to-date account on the Palestine problem. How far is it correct to state that Israel was born in Perfidy and brought upon enmity.

  4. The dismantling of the Portuguese colonial empire has changed the political map of Africa and strengthened and extended the common front against the remaining bastions of colonialism and racial oppression. Elucidate the statement with special reference to South Africa and Rhodesia.

  5. Explain Lebanon’s ordeal. What factors, forces and issues, in your opinion, are at work behind the prolonged fit of blood-thirstiness in the country?

  6. Do you agree with the view that President Anwar Sadat of Egypt is an unequal party to the bilateral accord that he has reached with Israel under the U.S umbrella and thal bilateral accord might split the Arab world?

  7. Discuss in detail the impact of the re-opening of Suez Canal.

  8. Write a short essay on Toti-e-Hind Amir Khusrou’s contribution to historical literature

  9. Discuss the causes that led to the assassinations of Sheikh Mujib-ur-Rahman of Bangladesh. Were the coup-makes motivated by personal revenge against Mujib or had they had ideological differences?
