SYLLABUS
SCOPE AND SYLLABUS FOR SCREENING TEST OF COMBINED COMPETITIVE EXAMINATION (CCE-2024).
Syllabus in respect of screening test shall comprise of the following subjects/breakup.
- General English with the weightage of 20%: vocabulary, Grammar, Idioms, Phrases, Synonyms, Antonyms, Fill in the blanks, prepositions, analogies, comprehension etc.
- General Knowledge and General Abilities with the Weightage of 80%, which includes:
- Pakistan Affairs
- Current affairs
- Everyday Science
- World Geography including celestial bodies
- Basic Arithmetic SSC level, Algebra SSC level, Geometry SSC level, Analytical problem solving and logical problem solving
- Fundamentals of Digital Literacy and IT Skills
Digital Literacy: Basic Computer Operations, Components of Computer (hardware & software), Operating System (Windows). - Islamic Studies or Comparative study of major religions (For Minority Candidates).
The Following shall be criteria for the screening Test:
i. The test shall consist of 200 multiple choice questions. Each question shall carry one mark. There shall be no negative marking.
ii. Total time allowed for the test shall be 200 minutes (Three hours & 20 minutes).
iii. Qualifying threshold for the test shall be 33 percent marks (66 marks).
iv. The test shall be administered through Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) technology or shall employ Computer-based Testing or any other technological means in vogue and available in the Commission.
v. The answer keys will be uploaded as soon as possible on the Commission’s web portal. The result shall be announced within a short span of time.
vi. Appearance in the screening test shall not be counted towards the number of attempts for CCE prescribed in Regulation 77 even when a candidate, after passing the screening test, does not appear in the subsequent written examination.
