For some people, a passport is a portal to the world. For others, it is a barrier to the travel freedom they seek.

The Henley Passport Index is a measure of global access, showing a ranking of passports and travel freedom over the last 14 years. The Henley Passport Index is based on IATA data.

The Henley Passport Index has named the Pakistani passport as the fourth worst for international travel.

The Pakistani passport only ranks better than the passports of only three other countries: Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan. It shares the fourth spot with Somalia.

Pakistani passport holders still enjoy visa-free access to 32 countries.
