Q. No. 1: Enlist different methods of fodder preservation in dairy farm operations. Give an account of silage and hay. Describe methods of making silage and hay. Outline the important crops used for silage and hay making. What are the properties of good quality silage and hay, and their comparative advantages and disadvantages? (20 Marks)
Q. No. 2: Milk is a prime food for quality human health but milk adulteration has become a serious issue especially in big cities of pakistan. Give a detailed account of milk adulterants and their impact on human health. How can we test them, and what measures can be adopted to address and minimize this issue? (20 Marks)
Q. No. 3: Give an account of livestock breeding systems and emerging breeding technologies. Describe salient features of the Punjab Livestock Breeding Act-2014. (20 Marks)
Q. No. 4: What is the role of poultry industry in economic uplift of Pakistan. Discuss the current status, and future potential of poultry industry in poverty eleviation and combating human hunger in Pakistan. (20 Marks)

Q No. 5: Economic feasibility is of prime importance for agri-business. How would you foresee economic aspects in terms of profit-loss of establishing a dairy/fattening farm verses cash crops verses mixed one? Which type of farming would you prefer to promote? Discuss with justifications. (20 Marks)
Q No. 6: The Farm manager of 800 Holstein-Friesian cattle herd asked you to devise an annual preventive health program based around biosecurity and vaccination. Your task is to provide the Farm Manager with key information about each of the following topics: Biosecurity: define farm biosecurity and it role in animal disease control and prevention. Develop comprehensive biosecurity program for this farm, and discuss biosecurity assessment tools. . Vaccination: list the bovine vaccines available in Pakistan and identify which of these would be appropriate for Holstein-Friesian cattle kept in this herd, justifying your recommendations. (20 Marks)
Q No. 7: Why farm sanitation and waste management program is considered important? And how effectively dairy farm wastes can be procured and utilized for other productive uses? (20 Marks)
Q No. 8: What are the factors affecting nutritive value of feeds. Discuss quality control processes in animal feed processing. Describe animal feed stuff laws and regulations implemented in the Punjab province. (20 Marks)
