Q-1. Discuss various definitions of Mass Communication adding a clear vision of your own. Mention some popular means of Mass Communication and their benefits to the common man.

Q-2. What is meant by Freedom of Press? Is Press free in Pakistan today? Discuss with special reference to our National Press.

Q-3. Editorial is called the mouth piece of a newspaper. What are its limitations? What qualities of head and heart an Editor of a daily newspaper must possess to meet this challenge?

Q-4. Allied Forces are facing a difficult war which has entered a critical phase but we are in Afghanistan only for victory, says new Commander of Allied Forces. What is the present US strategy in Afghanistan? Is it or not a futile war?

Q-5. The Journalists of Pakistan performing professional duties under increasing stress including life risk and job insecurity. Several have lost their lives and large number has become jobless. What steps do your suggest to overcome this situation on short and long term basis?

Q-6. Freshness and accuracy give a news item flavour and status. What steps are necessary for result oriented collection, transmission and editing of news items to achieve the required standard?

Q-7. Under the 18th Amendment several subjects and departments have to be transferred to Provincial Governments. What benefit will accrue to Balochistan from this step?

Q-8. Define “News Agency”. What role international and national News Agencies play in the development of Media? Write a brief note on the contribution of APP and PPI for Balochistan.

Q-9. What is the law and order situation prevailing in Balochistan these days as reported by newspapers? What steps do you suggest for its improvement?

Q-10. Over 200 newspapers and periodicals are published in Balochistan, several of which are dummy. Is this mushroom growth beneficial or harmful for the Province? Suggest measures to streamline this position to eliminate dummy newspapers and periodicals.
