2 Conventions are intended to secure the ultimate supremacy of the electorate as the true political sovereign state”. Discuss in detail the statement with reference to important Constitutional Conventions

3 What is the Doctrine of the Separation of Powers? Discuss with special reference to the US Constitution.

4 What is the “Constitutional Council” under the French Constitution? Who are the members of this Council and how they are appointed? Discuss the main function of this Council.

5 Write an Essay on the Fundamental Rights and Duties of Citizens as enumerated in the then Constitution of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.(Art. 118 to 133.)

6 “India that is Bharat, shell be a “Union of States” not a Federation but a Quasi Federal Government.” Critically examine the statement in detail.

7 “The Constitution shall remain incomplete unless the undermentioned Constitutional provisions are implemented in full.
(a) Separation of Judiciary from the Executive
(b) Implementation of the Islamic Provisions
(c) Abolition of Quota system in services
(d) Adoption of the National language
“Non-implementation of these provisions are impediments in the smooth development of the country. Discuss both the above observations in detail and give your objective opinion.

8 Article 4. (1) To enjoy the protection of law and to be treated in accordance with law is the inalienable right of every citizen, wherever he may be, and of every other person for the time being within Pakistan.

(2) In Particular:
(a) no action detrimental to the life, liberty, body, reputation or property of any person shall be taken except in accordance with law;
(b) no person shall be prevented from or be hindered in doing that which is not prohibited by law; and
(c) no person shall be compelled to do that which the law does not requires him to do.
