1 “Sociology is interested in the way groups interact with one another”. Discuss.
2 Explain the significance of applying sociological research methods in data collection to study social problems.
3 Discuss the nature and functions of economic and political institutions with reference to Pakistan.
4 “Status is a social process; one can have status only in relation to others who recognize his place and approach him in an understood way”. Comment and discuss the significance of status for the individual.
5 Define social mobility and discuss its determinants in Pakistani Society.
6 “Failure to appreciate the integration of culture leads to many failures in dealing with other culture”. Comment discussing ethnocentrism as a part of socialization process.
7 Define social control and explain its internal and external means with reference to youth unrest in Pakistan.
8 “Social change, the transformation of social structures, is not likely to occur without a temporary breakdown of consensus”. Elaborate discussing the factors in resistance and acceptance of social change.
9 Write short notes on any TWO of the following:-
a) Drug abuse;
b) Rural Community;
c) Deviant Behaviour;
