01 Analyze the relevance of realist theory in the post-Cold War Era. Do you agree that the traditional security aspect still dominates the inter-state relations in the post-Cold War Era?
02 What is the role of sanctions in foreign policy implementation? In which circumstances the sanctions produce the desired outcome and in some cases why does these fail to bring expected outcome?
03 Write short notes any Two of the following: (i) Internationalism in practice (ii) Food security as a non-traditional security threat in IR (iii) Global health as a major issue in IR.
04 Analyze Pakistan-India relations by applying any one of the following theoretical Frameworks: (A) Power-Realism ; (B) Liberalism.
05 Do you think that nuclear weapons have diminished the prospects of a full-fledged war between Nuclear-Weapon-States (NWS)? To what extent, in your opinion limited wars are the only option left for the NWS?
06 Is “Liberal democracy” a necessary precondition for “development”? Can development be achieved in an authoritarian regime?
07 Critically examine the role of the UN in establishing peace in the world. In your opinion, what are the hurdles faced by the UN in achieving its objectives?
08 Is Globalization an irreversible process? Do states have the capacity to resist the forces of globalization or their survival and economic benefits require an unconditional submission?
